About

After a career in sales, sales management and corporate learning and development, Bruce Acton has spent over a decade working with adult learners, focusing on the development of effective leadership and organizational skills in the workplace.

Bruce’s previous positions include as Director of Training and Development at Hewlett-Packard, Vice President of e-Learning Content Acquisition at McGraw-Hill, Vice President of Business Development at Lee Hecht Harrison, and Business Development Representative at Development Dimensions International. His areas of subject matter expertise include leadership development, organizational behavior, talent management, change management, and performance development.

Bruce was inspired to enter the field of adult learning based on an assignment to manage the onboarding of over 200 new sales and sales support representatives at Hewlett-Packard (Digital Equipment Corporation). This created a desire to combine his practical leadership and sales experience with an academic background of how and why adults learn.
