How to Apply


Calling all high school or college students. Do you love fashion? If you answered yes, consider spending Saturdays with us in the Fall or Spring or spend your summer in New York City. There’s no better way to learn about fashion-related careers and preparing for your future by taking classes at the college devoted exclusively to the business of fashion.

Get an up-close view of some of today’s hottest fashion careers by taking classes at LIM College. Industry experts take you behind-the-scenes to the worlds of styling, buying, fashion show production and more as you get a taste of what it’s like to study fashion at the college level. If you’re creative, enthusiastic and passionate about fashion then this is the perfect program for you.

We offer two pre-college programs: Saturday Fashion Lab and Summer Fashion Lab. Saturday Fashion Lab runs over five Saturdays in the Fall and Spring semesters. Summer Fashion Lab runs consecutive weeks in July. The Fashion Labs are open to all high school students and recent high school graduates.

Saturday Fashion Lab

Offered in the Fall and the Spring, Saturday Fashion Lab prepares high school students for a career in fashion. Students have five courses to choose from to learn an introduction to fashion, including buying, a stylist’s role, fashion marketing and more. This program is open to students all high school students and recent high school graduates. Classes are held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday.


Registration is accepted up until the first day of each session. Students can only take one class per session.



$250 per class


Cancellation Policy

A full refund less a $25 processing fee is given up until the Monday before each Saturday course begins. No refunds thereafter. To cancel a registration, you must email the Associate Director of Pre-College Programs. LIM College reserves the right to cancel class if enrollment is insufficient with a full refund to the student.

Summer Fashion Lab

LIM College’s comprehensive Summer Fashion Lab program offers high school and college students the opportunity to study fashion at the college level and test drive a college devoted to the business of fashion. Students experience New York City while taking credit and non-credit courses. Nearly 400 students from across the globe attended the Summer Fashion Lab in 2015. Students have the option to live in LIM College’s residence hall during the Summer.
