Saturday Fashion Lab
Take fashion to the next level! Offered in the Fall and the Spring, Saturday Fashion Lab is a Pre-College Fashion workshop giving students a better understanding of different topics within the fashion industry. Students will participate in four workshops to gain an introduction to fashion, including buying & retailing, styling, fashion marketing & communications and merchandising & product development.
This program is open to all high school students and recent high school graduates. Classes are held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday.

Workshop in Fashion Buying & Retailing (10/14)
Wonder how clothes and accessories fill up the store shelves each season? Learn all about the role of the fashion buyer working in the business today and how they take trends and choose product to create a floor set of merchandise for their customers. At the end of this workshop, you will create a “mini buying plan” for a fashion retailer of your choice.
Workshop in Fashion Merchandising and Product Development (10/21)
Discover the exciting process of fashion merchandising through this hands-on workshop. Gain insight into today’s fashion consumer while learning all the steps of apparel product development. Students will take on the role of the apparel merchandiser and conceptualize, then develop a mini collection through the creation of a fashion product inspirational storyboard.
Workshop in Fashion Styling (10/28)
Styling is an exciting and important part of the fashion business. The fashion stylist’s role in mediums such as advertising, fashion editorial, TV, and social media are examined in this dynamic workshop. Discover the process of styling, the personal and professional traits necessary, and the tools fashion stylists use to conceptualize “looks” for fashion clients in the industry today.
Workshop in Fashion Marketing & Communications (11/4)
Are you interested in discovering how fashion products are marketed to consumers? In this workshop, students will learn how to understand consumer behavior, identify target market segments, and be introduced to the digital, social and mobile platforms that have changed the way marketers approach building brands in today’s dynamic and global fashion business.

Registration is accepted up until the first day of each session. Register for all four workshops, or pick and choose if you can't make all four!
$75 per individual workshop
$250 package for all four workshops
A full refund less a $25 processing fee is given up until the Monday before each Saturday course begins. No refunds thereafter. To cancel a registration, you must email the Pre-College Programs Coordinator. LIM College reserves the right to cancel class if enrollment is insufficient with a full refund to the student.
