LIM has its own dedicated floors at FOUND Study - Midtown East.

This modern high-rise student residence is in the heart of Manhattan at Lexington Ave. and 51st St.—a quick walk from both of our academic buildings, steps from multiple subway and bus lines, and right around the corner from an NYPD police precinct. 

FOUND Study features double rooms w/private bathrooms, a fitness center, 24hr access control, a laundry room, bike storage, a communal kitchen and dining room, as well as numerous other co-living amenities.

All rooms include:

  • One microwave
  • One refrigerator
  • One closet

Rooms also include one set of furniture per resident, including:

  • Twin XL bed and mattress 
  • Two-drawer dresser
  • Desk
  • Desk chair

Deluxe double rooms also include a kitchenette, which includes a refrigerator and microwave as well as a sink and electric cooktop.

Fall 2025 Housing Deadlines and Timeline 

  • March 2025: Fall housing application opens.
  • May 1: Priority deadline for new and continuing students.
  • May 16: Students notified of housing approval or waitlist status.
  • Ongoing: Applications remain open; spots approved as received or added to the waitlist (if the student opts in).
  • August 24: New graduate student move-in.
  • August 24: New international student move-in.
  • August 27: New undergraduate student move-in.
  • August 31: Returning student move-in.

FOUND Study - Midtown East has front desk personnel on duty 24/7. Student access to the building is managed by electronic ID card and security cameras are present throughout the building's common areas. The NYPD's 17th precinct is also located directly across the street on East 51st St. 

LIM has a professional Residential Community Coordinator living on the premises, as well as multiple student Residential Community Advisors. These staff support programming, outreach, and student support for LIM students living in the building.

FOUND Study also has its own professional and student staff, including a Residence Director, Resident Advisors, security, and maintenance staff.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, the cost for housing is:

  • Standard double room: $17,025.84
  • Deluxe double room (with kitchenette): $19,178.64
  • Junior standard double room: $16,200
  • Junior deluxe double room (with kitchenette): $18,149.04
  • Triple room: $14,779.44

All prices are for the entire academic year. 

Students can use their financial aid to pay for housing. This does not apply to the deposit, which they will need to pay when they submit their housing application. Students should work with their Financial Aid Counselor in LIM's Office of Student Financial Services to complete the necessary paperwork to apply for financial aid to help cover the cost of housing.

  • Financial aid that can be utilized to help cover the cost of housing
    • Parent PLUS Loans
    • Private Student Loans (Sallie Mae, College Ave, etc.)
  • Payment Plans are available to spread out the cash payments. 
  • Students utilizing financial aid need to have their paperwork in order by the payment deadline.
    • Each student will have an assigned Financial Aid Counselor who can help them through the process.

  • Students may select another student as a roommate in a double room.
    • Add the name of your selected roommate to your housing application
    • Both students must select each other in the application process
    • If you find a roommate after your application is already submitted, please email residencelife@limcollege.edu with this information ASAP and we will do our best to honor your requests. Both students must email us with this request in order for it to be considered.
  • Gender-inclusive housing is available. Students can choose any roommate they would like and as long as requests are mutual we will do our best to honor them.
  • To ensure student roommate requests are given priority, both students must meet all application and payment deadlines.
  • Students looking for roommates can attend our Roommate Mixers to meet potential roommates.

The building has a secured package room on the main floor. It is staffed during set hours when students can retrieve packages. Students receive automated alerts notifying them of package arrivals.

Students who are moving in can schedule packages to arrive no earlier than 48 hours prior to their move-in.
