Take fashion to the next level! Offered in the Fall and the Spring, Saturday Fashion Lab is a Pre-College Fashion workshop giving students a better understanding of different topics within the fashion industry. Students will participate in workshops to gain an introduction to fashion, including buying & retailing, styling, fashion marketing & communications, event planning, illustration, forecasting, media and merchandising & product development!
This program is open to all high school students and recent high school graduates. Classes are held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday.

Backstage Pass: Publicity and Event Planning (2/24)
Go behind the scenes to learn how to publicize a small or big fashion event.
Fashion Illustration and Design (3/3)
Express your fashion designs and ideas by studying basic fashion illustration in this workshop-style course.
Fashion Styling (3/3)
Styling is an exciting and important part of the fashion business. The fashion stylist's role in mediums such as advertising, fashion editorial, TV and social media are examined in this dynamic workshop. Discover the process of styling, the personal and professional traits necessary, and the tools fashion stylists use to conceptualize "looks" for fashion clients in the industry today.
Fashion Forecasting (3/10)
Explore fashion forecasting at all industry levels, namely trend identification, analysis and synthesis. You'll learn terminology, timing and sources of inspiration, research tools and presentation techniques.
Fashion Merchandising and Product Development (3/10)
Take on the role of an apparel merchandiser in this workshop-style course. You'll conceptualize and then develop several mini fashion collections, creating storyboards and gaining an inside look into the computer programs used in the fashion industry.
Fashion Media: Making a Magazine (3/24)
In this dynamic and hands-on course, students will serve as the stylists, models, photographers, writers, editors and designers for a fashion magazine.
Registration is accepted up until the first day of each session. Register for all four workshops, or pick and choose if you can't make all four!
Package of 4 courses for $250 includes: Backstage Pass (2/24), Fashion Illustration and Design (3/3), Fashion Forecasting (3/10), and Fashion Media: Making a Magazine (3/24). A full refund less a $25 processing fee is given up until the Monday before each Saturday course begins. No refunds thereafter. To cancel a registration, you must email the Pre-College Programs Coordinator. LIM College reserves the right to cancel class if enrollment is insufficient with a full refund to the student.
