Zahra Amanpour is a serial entrepreneur. She is the Founder and CEO of Main Street Assembly, facilitating the exchange and implementation of knowledge and technology within small business ecosystems across the country. Previously, she was the founder and CEO of Indiegrove, a coworking community in Jersey City, NJ. She also supports entrepreneurs and small businesses through strategy consulting and advocacy work and has taught entrepreneurship in many community and academic settings.
Zahra currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Jobs for the Future, helping build the organization's capacity to work with small businesses and driving complex projects focused on economic advancement for all towards impactful completion. She has been on the board of Women’s Freedom Forum, a human rights advocacy organization focused on the Middle East and Africa, since 2002. Her work is anchored by her deep belief that economic opportunity is critical to the pursuit of justice and equality for all.
