LIM College offers select courses in a distance learning format, giving students in on-campus programs flexibility in satisfying the requirements toward their degree. Distance learning classes are academically equivalent to traditional in-person courses and satisfy the same requirements towards your degree.
There are two types of distance learning courses:
A. Fully Online Courses
Held entirely online with no scheduled class meetings. Students log into Canvas to access the syllabus, course materials, assignments/activities, and connect with classmates. While students can choose when and where they work, there are weekly deadlines for learning activities, assignments, and exams.
B. Hybrid Courses
These are a blend of scheduled class meetings (on campus or via video conferencing) and online instruction via Canvas. This often follows the pattern of one scheduled class meeting with online activities/assignments in Canvas.
