Here are a few cool places to check out.

6BC Botanical Garden

Botanical Garden

If you want a nice place to walk around, relax and look at nature, the 6BC Botanical Garden is the perfect spot. At this park, you can witness various kinds of plants, help out community through volunteering, and participate in fun events such as open mics and more. It is free and easy to access this park and a must-see if you love nature.

SoHo

Soho

SoHo is the spot for shopping, eating, and taking Instagram photos. This neighborhood is a short subway ride away from LIM's academic buildings. As for shopping, you have Zara, Nike, Artizia and more. If you get hungry while shopping, there is no shortage of good restaurants. Jack’s Wife Freda has delicious fries and salads, Soho Park and The Grey Dog have great appetizers and American food. And finally, you’ll need to snap some pictures while you’re in SoHo. Luckily, there are some really cool storefronts and cobblestone streets all around the area, so there’s no doubt you can find the perfect spot for an impromptu photoshoot.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park

One of NYC’s best known monuments, aside from the Empire State building and Statue of Liberty, is the iconic Brooklyn Bridge that connects Dumbo, Brooklyn to Manhattan’s Lower East Side. This is definitely a spot to check out for a nice walk and photo op.

You can take the subway downtown to the start of the bridge in Manhattan and walk across or start on the Brooklyn end and walk over. You will get a beautiful view of the East River, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. At Brooklyn Bridge park, located on the Brooklyn end, there are many community events hosted there, art placed all around, and cute picnic areas. It’s free to walk the bridge and go to the park. Some events may have a cost, but for the most part this is a free and fun activity for you to enjoy with friends and family!
