Six LIM College student teams have been selected as finalists in the Educators for Socially Responsible Apparel Practices (ESRAP) annual Fashion Merchandising Poster Competition.
In this national competition, teams of 3-4 students are tasked with developing a business plan and pitch video for a socially responsible fashion retailer.
All 21 students on the finalist teams were enrolled in sections of the Sustainability and the Future of Fashion course in the Spring 2021 semester. The students worked on their submissions as group projects within the class, with faculty members and Business department Chair Michael Londrigan and Fashion Merchandising and Marketing department Chair Nancy Miller providing feedback.
In the final round, the students’ projects will be judged by industry professionals from VF Corporation. Competition results will be announced at the end of October and the winning business plan poster and pitch video will be showcased on the ESRAP website.
