LIM College has received a 5-star rating in the areas of Employability and Inclusiveness from the international QS Stars program. LIM also received a 4-star rating for overall excellence.
QS Stars is an opt-in rating system operated by the QS Intelligence Unit, the independent compiler of the QS World University rankings. The system evaluates colleges and universities across a wide range of performance indicators as set against pre-established international standards, awarding from one to five stars in various categories.
According to Leigh Kamolins, QS’s Head of Evaluation, “QS Stars covers a broader range of criteria than any world ranking exercise.”
On the employability front, QS’s rating emphasizes graduates’ readiness for work, including the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team, deliver presentations, and manage people and projects. Areas schools are judged on include the graduate employment rate, career services support, and reputation among employers. LIM’s Class of 2023 boasted a 97% Career Outcomes Rate, with 160 companies counted present on campus during the rating period.
To measure inclusiveness, QS looks at areas such as the provision of support for students who need accessibility services, ethnic diversity, the number of students from low-income backgrounds, and the amount of funds available for student support.
