On October 14, the LIM College Career Fair took place at the FOUND Study - Midtown East residence hall in Manhattan, spearheaded by the school's Career and Internship Services team. Hundreds of LIM students and recent alumni connected with recruiters from brands they wanted to explore, spoke about open roles at these companies, distributed their resumes, and grew their list of professional contacts.
Among the long list of fashion and lifestyle employers that had tables at the fair were Richemont, Ross Stores, Land's End, Harry Winston, Clarins USA, and Zimmerman. The afternoon also featured a photography station where attendees could get professional headshots taken, as well as a space for resume reviews and interview preparation with LIM faculty.
"You need to take advantage of a day like this where you can connect with industry," said Fashion Marketing major Gianna Caldera '28. "I absolutely love going to school here. It's great that there are opportunities like this for connecting with career professionals. There are so many amazing brands here."
VIP attendees were invited to a special keynote session on the building's penthouse level, where Fashion Merchandising professor Diamanté Logan moderated an interview and Q&A with Delisha Fields '11—now a marketing strategist and event producer and the founder BLK GETAWAY—in which Delisha shared career tips and insights with the crowd. This was followed by a networking mingle in the sky lounge area, where guests were also treated to hot chocolate from Angelina Paris.
