Intro Title
Industry professionals on campus for trend presentation.

Fashion Group International (FGI) held an “FGI Communique” event on the LIM College campus on November 13. FGI is a worldwide membership organization of industry leaders in the fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and retail sectors with global headquarters in New York.

FGI Communique is an event for industry professionals that offers an insider’s look at the latest trends, color stories, silhouettes, and emerging new talent directly from global runways. Consisting of a trend presentation and panel discussion, it provides attendees with the chance to network and gain insights to build their brand vision.

Moderated by Amy Fine Collins, Editor-at-Large for Graydon Carter’s Air Mail, panelists included Mickey Boardman, Director of Special Projects for Paper Magazine; Gary Wassner, CEO of the Hilldun Corporation; fashion and art forecaster Nicole Fischelis; and Sharon Graubard, founder of The SG Files.

Prior to the industry session, a group of LIM students were treated to a special showing of the trend presentation. They also had the opportunity to learn about FGI and its history and significance in the fashion industry from FGI President & CEO Maryanne Grisz, who was an instructor at LIM from 2011-2014.
