Jen Foyle speaks to fashion merchandising and fashion marketing students.

Jen Foyle, who is President, Executive Creative Director for American Eagle (AE) & Aerie came to LIM on November 6 to speak to students in the college’s Merchandising Concepts & Practices and Fashion Marketing & Communications courses.

Foyle talked about her career and her current role at AE and discussed topics that ranged from the impact of fashion influencers to brand collaborations and the role of AI in fashion merchandising. The session also included a student Q&A.

A renowned global retail leader and body positivity pioneer, Foyle has been at the center of transformations for some of retail’s most beloved brands, including at AEO Inc., Gap, J.Crew, and Calypso St. Barth. Among her most notable achievements is launching the award-winning #AerieREAL campaign – a body positivity movement focused on self-acceptance, mental well-being and women’s empowerment that revolutionized the intimate apparel industry.

Foyle is deeply committed to growing the next generation of retail leaders and serves on the board of the LIM Fashion Education Foundation. In 2020, she was LIM’s Commencement speaker and received an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree.
