LIM College’s 83rd Commencement exercises will be held outdoors on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield.
Rumsey Playfield is home to world-renowned music, dance, and performance arts, including the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series and Central Park’s annual SummerStage festival.
Designer and entrepreneur Todd Snyder will deliver the keynote address and receive the College’s Distinguished Achievement Award. Mr. Snyder will also receive an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the business of fashion.
Since launching his eponymous label in 2011, Todd Snyder has redefined how modern men can present themselves to the world and has established store locations that are innovative retail and lifestyle hubs. He is on the cutting edge of fashion retail and consistently pushes creative boundaries, as seen through innovative capsule collections and limited-edition designs with brands such as Champion, Clarks, Converse, L.L. Bean, New Balance, and Timex.
Previously, Todd held leading roles at Polo Ralph Lauren, The Gap, and J.Crew. As head of menswear at J.Crew, he created the J.Crew Liquor Store in New York City, a first-of-its-kind concept offering a curated selection of apparel and lifestyle products. He has been recognized four times by the CFDA as a Menswear Designer of the Year nominee and was a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist.
