What made you choose LIM?
Looking for a college, I wanted a school that was in a city, but that wasn't too big so I could have more of a connection with those around me. After looking at the courses LIM offered, along with their emphasis on internships and networking, I decided it was right for me!
What are your favorite classes?
I have really enjoyed all my classes, but Fabric for Fashion and Fashion Forecasting have really stood out. Both these classes are very hands-on and creative, which makes it easier for me to retain the information.
What extracurriculars have you been involved in?
I’ve been a First Year Experience mentor and an Orientation Leader, both of which were incredibly fun; I highly recommend students look into it when they become eligible sophomore year!
What has transitioning to living in New York City for school been like?
I will admit, moving from Nashville to NYC and being so far from my family and friends was intimidating at first; but ,it is the best decision I have ever made, hands down. There’s no place like NYC. I keep myself busy and explore as much as I possibly can. There is always something happening in the city, and it truly is never boring. Being able to explore different neighborhoods, meet people from so many different walks of life, and just have the freedom to discover myself has been amazing. I love my new home and never want to leave.
Anything else you’d like to add?
LIM is very big on getting involved in clubs. So if you’re a new student, I really recommend doing so!
