The Presidential Transfer Scholarship is an exclusive partnership between LIM and Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) that will cover all of Cassie's tuition costs as a full-time student at LIM for the duration of her studies.
Cassie recently graduated from SCCC with an associate degree in Retail Marketing and Management. She will begin her studies towards a bachelor’s degree in the Business of Fashion at LIM this fall.
Applicants for the Presidential Transfer Scholarship were required to have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and be eligible to graduate from SCCC at the end of the Spring 2020 semester. In addition to academic achievement, selection was based on demonstration of student leadership, as well as contributions to SCCC and the communities of Long Island through activities and service.
Says Cassie, "I chose to attend LIM because it provides exceptional opportunities and courses. I'm looking forward to studying in NYC—one of the top fashion capitals in the world—and to meeting new people with similar interests."
